The widget

Put today’s line where you’ll see it.

Without the widget, the line only exists when you open the app. With it, it sits on your Home Screen all day, quietly. Adding it takes about a minute.

iPhone

On your Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen.
  2. Tap the button at the top left, then Add Widget if a menu appears.
  3. Search for Embering and tap it.
  4. Swipe to the medium size, which carries the whole line, then tap Add Widget.
  5. Tap Done, or the tick at the top right.

On your Lock Screen

  1. Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
  2. Tap Add Widgets.
  3. Scroll to Embering, tap it, then tap the widget to add it.
  4. Close the list and tap Done.

The Lock Screen shows the start of today’s line. Tap it to read the whole line in the app.

Android

On your Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen.
  2. Tap Widgets.
  3. Find Embering, then touch and hold the widget and drag it into place.
